X Games 17 Maps for your Smart Phone

To view the data from our main map on your mobile phone, your phone will need to able to support the Google Maps application or browse to maps.google.com. Currently, we can only support the following platforms at this time: Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Nokia S60 and Windows. Please find the section that most applies to you below for more specific instructions on how to view our data on your mobile phone.

Android : BlackBerry : iPhone : Nokia S60 : Windows



Android
1. Get the latest version of the Google Maps application for your Android

If you haven't updated your Android with the latest version, be sure you do so your Google Maps application can support Layers. To update your Android, go to the Android Market and search for "Google Maps." In the results, find "Google Maps by Google Inc." If an update is available, select Google Maps, then press the Update button.

2. Find us on the web from your Android's browser

From your Android's browser, go to www.commuterama.com/android.

3. Open a map as a layer in your Google Maps application

When you get to www.commuterama.com/android, you will see a list of maps for the different phases of the X Games 17 - Pre-event setup, maps for the actual event, and post-event breakdown. Select one of the maps and you will be prompted to open the map in your phone's browser, Google Maps, or maybe Google Maps Editor. Select Google Maps to view the map as a layer in your Google Maps application. View multiple layers at the same time by going back to your browser and selecting another map.



Apple
1. Find us on the web from your iPhone's browser

Since the Google Maps application that's native to the iPhone doesn't currently support Layers, you can only view our data through the iPhone's browser.

From your iPhone's browser, go to www.commuterama.com/iphone.

2. Browse to a map on your iPhone's browser

When you get to www.commuterama.com/iphone, you will see a list of maps for the different phases of the X Games 17 - Pre-event setup, maps for the actual event, and post-event breakdown. Tap on one of the maps to open it in your browser.



BlackBerry
1. Get the latest version of the Google Maps application for your BlackBerry

Go to www.google.com/mobile/blackberry on your desktop or laptop for directions on how to install the Google Maps application on your BlackBerry. On your BlackBerry, you can go to m.google.com/maps to download the application.

2. Save our maps to your Google Account via My Maps

From your desktop/laptop browser, go to www.commuterama.com/blackberry. You will see a list of maps for the different phases of the X Games 17 - Pre-event setup, maps for the actual event, and post-event breakdown. Click on one of the maps and you will be taken to the Google Maps website where our map will automatically be loaded.

Sign into your Google account if you're not already signed in. Then click the link "Save to My Maps," which is located somewhere near the top of the left menu, just above the map's title. Saving the map to your My Maps account will now allow you to view it as a layer in your BlackBerry's Google Maps application. Repeat this process to save the rest of the maps found on www.commuterama.com/blackberry so that you can view them as layers on your BlackBerry.

3. View our maps as layers on your BlackBerry's Google Maps application

On your BlackBerry, run the Google Maps application and sign into your Google Account. Next, find the "Layers" item in the application's menu and select More Layers. Then select My Maps. In the list that pops open next, find the section of maps that were "created by others." Here you should find all the Commuterama maps you saved in Step #2. Select one of the maps to view it as a layer.



Nokia S60
1. Get the latest version of the Google Maps application for your Nokia S60

Go to www.google.com/mobile/nokia-s60 on your desktop or laptop for directions on how to install the Google Maps application on your Nokia. On your Nokia S60, you can go to m.google.com/maps to download the application.

2. Save our maps to your Google Account via My Maps

From your desktop/laptop browser, go to www.commuterama.com/nokia-s60. You will see a list of maps for the different phases of the X Games 17 - Pre-event setup, maps for the actual event, and post-event breakdown. Click on one of the maps and you will be taken to the Google Maps website where our map will automatically be loaded.

Sign into your Google account if you're not already signed in. Then click the link "Save to My Maps," which is located somewhere near the top of the left menu, just above the map's title. Saving the map to your My Maps account will now allow you to view it as a layer in your Nokia S60's Google Maps application. Repeat this process to save the rest of the maps found on www.commuterama.com/nokia-s60 so that you can view them as layers on your Nokia S60.

3. View our maps as layers on your Nokia S60's Google Maps application

On your Nokia S60, run the Google Maps application and sign into your Google Account. Next, find the "Layers" item in the application's menu and select More Layers. Then select My Maps. In the list that pops open next, find the section of maps that were "created by others." Here you should find all the Commuterama maps you saved in Step #2. Select one of the maps to view it as a layer.



Windows Mobile
1. Get the latest version of the Google Maps application for your Windows Mobile phone

Go to www.google.com/mobile/maps on your desktop or laptop for directions on how to install the Google Maps application on your Windows Mobile phone. On your Windows Mobile phone, you can go to m.google.com/maps to download the application.

2. Save our maps to your Google Account via My Maps

From your desktop/laptop browser, go to www.commuterama.com/windowsmobile. You will see a list of maps for the different phases of the X Games 17 - Pre-event setup, maps for the actual event, and post-event breakdown. Click on one of the maps and you will be taken to the Google Maps website where our map will automatically be loaded.
